Personally, I would have found room for Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens in that list.

Here's another list. When I first read this I was so thrilled to see Billy Connoly's name included. I love that man.

I love that site. One can spend hours reading there. So many people there one would never guess to be a free thinker. It's encouraging to say the least.

Thanks for those sites, Jon and Sage.
It was interesting to see the celeb Atheist site. I was a little surprised to see a lot of my favorite writers and artists are Atheists, although I am not sure why.

I was also surprised to see that Ronald Reagan's son is an Atheist. I understand he is also a ballerina. He certainly marched to a different drummer than his father did.

I was surprised to learn that Ted Turner is an agnostic. I had always beleived he was an atheist. This was supposedly the reasons for his difficulties with his marriage to Jane Fonda, who had become a born-again Christian. (Which also surprised me after I saw her in 'Barbarella'). I suppose that anyone can change their beleif systems from time to time.

Well, Ms. Fonda also said she had given up acting once she became Sister Jane.

Sometimes I think people call themselves agnostic because they are afraid to be stigmatized as an atheist for whatever reason. In either case, I am sure she tried to get Ted to become born again. My guess is he figured his first birth took. Why do it again?

And James, Ron Jr. was a ballet dancer, not a ballerina. He's a boy. ; )

But they are fun sites and it's nice to be in such good and talented company!

True, sorry. I did not know the distinction between ballet dancer and ballerina.
I still thought it was interesting that he took such a different direction from his father.

I think it's great. I loved what he said at his father's memorial in Simi Valley. I wish I could find a transcript of it. He also has been very outspoken against the policies and actions of this current administration. He was on one of the cable news channels, MSNBC I think, but I guess he's too much to the left for that "liberal" media to handle. Too bad because I always thought his perspective was refreshing. Now we just get to hear him as one of the announcers at the AKC dog shows.
